I've been doing pet sitting since my                                   college years at University of California,                         Davis and in 2011 started my own pet                    sitting business after receiving a masters in          elementary education, intending to do sitting mainly during the summer. The Great Recession had other plans for me, however, and when I couldn't find a teaching job, I hustled and in 2016 the pet sitting business I always intended to be a side hustle became my full-time employment, growing into a 250-family, close to six-figure mini-obsession that in 2021 I finally began to scale back.

Currently, I sit for over a 100 families and will continue to do so until no one needs my services anymore and with the gradual easing up of my time, I'll be concurrently working in elementary education as well as pursuing some creative ventures.
